The Curtains Are Drawn but the Window Remains Open

2017
Window can be a metaphor for a portal or gateway to other worlds past, present, or future. The series of photos were made at the Headland Center for the Arts in California. The Headlands was a former military base and was very vital as a defense against a possible Japanese attack during WWII. These windows are located in the Officer's Club; there were 10 windows facing every direction. As I stood looking out a window I thought of the past. How has the landscape changed of the years? What about the moments of life that has transpired and was viewed from where I stood?
