Fur Elise

2009
The basis for this body of work is the animation “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” In the animation Charlie Brown seeks what is the meaning of Christmas while being bombarded by a consumerist world, eventually Charlie Brown finds what he has been seeking. I conducted an exploration for my search of the Christmas spirit. Instead of asking people for their interpretations or viewpoints I let my camera capture my experience of my walk through Chicago and Milwaukee during Christmas week of 2007.
In searching for my own meaning of Christmas in the hope that I will find an answer that will make my mind at ease, and my soul joyful.
